Tweet from Alan Sepinwall:

Same question I asked on the blog: what 1 show, past/present, would you save if you shares my awesome powers?
about 4 hours ago from Twitterrific

Reply from Mo Ryan:

@sepinwall I'm not gonna say the obvious shows, cuz I'm sure everyone already did. I'm gonna say Farscape, one of the best shows ever. Fact.

looks like the negotiations for season 5 are ongoing and that Hart's having to defend last night's ep ;)

ETA: This is an interesting tweet: "@squint_girl Yes, I know how BONES will end given that we know WHEN it will end and have time to spin it out properly.about 3 hours ago from web in reply to squint_girl

I wonder if that means that FOX has already told them now long they intend to renew it, so they've already got it planned out (a la Lost). either that or he's full of it (also entirely possible).

Do you value your medical privacy???

I swear, one of these days my brain is going to explode out the front of my head. No matter what party you're a part of, you must call and get this pulled OUT of the stimulus package.

So, some asshole in Congress decided to try to hide legislation in the stimulus that controls aspects of healthcare that ARE NOT stiumulative - literally taking a page out of the book Tom Daschle wrote last year about healthcare. The legislation they're trying to hide is not stimulative in nature. You can read more about it here: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601039&refer=columnist_mccaughey&sid=aLzfDxfbwhzs and here's a link to the text of the senate's version of the stimulus package: http://www.politico.com/static/PPM110_stimulus_bill.html

First off - "The bill’s health rules will affect “every individual in the United States” (pgs 445, 454, 479). Your medical treatments will be tracked electronically by a federal system." Really?? REALLY??? all of my treatments are going to be tracked by a federal agency?? ARE YOU JOKING??

Secondly - "the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology, will monitor treatments to make sure your doctor is doing what the federal government deems appropriate and cost effective." Don't most of us already have HMOs that do this?? Why add MORE RED TAPE to your healthcare? Have a body that doesn't accept the typical treatment?? Don't expect to be able to get atypical or experimental treatments. Think your doctor should be able to think for his or herself??? Not so much!

So, if you think that these should be removed from the stimulus package and having the public, as a nation, reviewing these types of laws and making our needs/voices/desires known before they happen, please contact your representatives & senators: http://senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm or https://writerep.house.gov/writerep/welcome.shtml

and make sure to pass this on to your friends and family.

Future Farscape survey

Hallo!!! So, recently a thread Terra Firma discussed the fact that 2009 is the tenth anniversary of Farscape's debut. So, that got those of us at WatchFarscape thinking - if a collector's edition of Farscape were to be released, what would fans be most interested in and what would you like to see in Farscape's future???

With those questions in mind, we've got a survey we'd like to distribute to Farscape fans.  If you've got some friends in your address book that are fans, make sure to pass it out their way.

Follow the link: WatchFarscape survey - http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=vaA_2fotqA8PapcrOdu6FU_2fw_3d_3d

Thanks for participating!!

looks like yale's medical school has figured out a blood test that has a 99% accuracy for picking up Ovarian Cancer. Yale Link & Clinical Cancer Research Journal. it's in phase-III experiments yet, but hopefully they'll get their approval soon, so many women can get this screening test.

The cast members of BSG are stepping it up a notch in their support of the writer's strike. Fans that donate funds to participate in the Pencils2MediaMoguls campaign, in the name of particular cast members will be put into raffles.

Mary McDonnell, Michael Hogan, Tricia Helfer, and Michael Trucco are raffling off a personal phone call from themselves to the winning donor as well.

More info is up at rdm's blog - http://www.rondmoore.com or at the Pencils2MediaMoguls campaign - http://www.pencils2mediamoguls.com
